For those looking to spend a night out while also helping out a great cause, you will want to purchase tickets to attend A Hamptons Happening this Saturday night.
In its 11th year, A Hamptons Happening is a fundraiser for the Waxman Cancer Research Foundation, which is dedicated to finding cures for cancer through cancer cells research.
Since the early 1970s the foundation has worked to foster collaboration among researchers to “eradicate cancer by funding cutting-edge research that identifies and corrects abnormal gene function that causes cancer.” The foundation aims to do this through the development of minimally toxic treatments for patients at a network of 60 research laboratories across North America, Asia and Europe.
Since its inception, the foundation has invested over $85 million in cancer research and plans to continue to contribute using funds raised at the Hamptons Happening event.
The July 11 event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Bridgehampton home of Maria and Kenneth Fischell and feature amazing food from over 30 New York City and Hamptons restaurants, along with live and silent auctions.
This year, event will also honor Marc Leder, Co-CEO of Sun Capital Partners, Inc. and Bobby Zarin, chairman of Zarin Fabrics. Both men have been affected by cancer and are dedicated to the foundation.
Individual tickets to the event are $350 and sponsorships are available, starting at $1,500 with cabanas, starting at $10,000. Those unable to attend can also make a donation directly to the foundation. To purchase a ticket or make a donation, click here.
