Mmm, Bacon Fest

March 15 is the Long Island “High on the Hog” Bacon Fest at the All Star Arena in Coram. The festival celebrates all things bacon: attendees can enjoy bacon samples with additional food, novelty gifts and merchandise available for purchase.

St. Pat’s Pick

The 65th annual Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place on March 15. Bagpipers, floats and a royal court will march in the parade with local bars and restaurants along the route hosting after parties.

Say Cheese, It’s Paint Night

Create your own masterpiece while enjoying a wine tasting. C’est Cheese in Port Jefferson will host a Design & Wine Paint Night on March 5 and 19.

Coming Soon: Blind Bat

A microbrewery is coming to Main Street in Smithtown. The former Brooksite Deli will soon be the new home of Blind Bat Brewery. They will be scaling up from their current 340 square foot garage setup and are eyeing a late spring/early summer opening date.

Taking Back Long Island

Taking Back Sunday returns to Long Island to play the Paramount in Huntington on March 24. The hometown band is headlining a U.S. tour with The Menzingers and Letlive to promote their album “Happiness Is,” which was released in 2014.

Race for Green

March 21 is the annual Go for the Green 5K. The race begins at Smithtown Elementary School and features raffles, awards for overall and age group winners and a one mile family fun run. 100% of the proceeds go to charity.
