It's the most wonderful time of the year! No, no, we're not rushing Christmas, we're talking restaurant week, and it's right around the corner. The perfect prerequisite to a Thanksgiving chow-down, Long Island Restaurant Week (LIRW) rolls into town November 1st – November 8th (Sunday-Sunday). This can't-miss event only comes around two times a year and offers a chance to get a tasting of the menu at some of Long Island's finest restaurants – so, if you missed the spring session you'd be remiss to do the same this time around.
Patrons will get a three-course meal with choices from the prix-fixe menu for $27.95 per person – although this may be subject to change on Saturday depending on the time of your reservation. LIRW's website works with OpenTable to seamlessly send you straight to making your reservation with just a click of a button (participating restaurants only), and due to the popularity of this event it is recommended that you make your reservation as far in advance as possible. Most restaurants also share a peek at their restaurant week menu on LIRW's website as well, potentially making your 'where do we go' decision that much harder.
Good to know: Tips, as well as beverages, are not included in the $27.95 price. Some items on the menu are offered at a small additional charge, so be sure to read menu options carefully.
