The Hamptons waters may not be quite warm enough to jump in for some summer splashing fun, but they are just right for fishing. From Hampton Bays to Montauk, there are more than a few fishing boats to charter for a day, afternoon, or evening out in the open sea with a rod and a reel in hand.
One of the best ways to charter a boat is to reach out to the 50-year-old West Lake Marina in Montauk, which can arrange a charter for you and your family or friends with one of the 15 charter boat captains, who are stationed at the marina.
All of the charter boats that are on site can accommodate up to six people and are available for full-day, half-day, or evening excursions. Prices range from $650 for a half-day of fishing to $1,150 for a full-day adventure and include tackle and bait. Customers only need to bring their own food and beverages.
And after a day of fishing, you can stop in at the new restaurant at the marina, The West Lake Fish House, previously the Clam and Chowder House.
