A hotel in Sweden has agreed to put in smoke alarms to satisfy local habitation ordinances. I wholeheartedly agree that hotels should have proper safety equipment to protect their guests and I laud the hotel’s rapid acquiescence to the local laws.
“To us the most important concern is the safety of our clients, so we will comply,” said Beatrice Karlsson, a spokesperson for the Ice Hotel located in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden.
Oh. I neglected to mention that the hotel is located 124 miles above the Arctic Circle. Oh. I also neglected to mention it’s completely constructed of ice, and has to be rebuilt after it melts every spring.
