LI Philharmonic Honors Hometown Heroes

Each summer the Islip Arts Council and Long Island Philharmonic team up to bring a free concert to Heckscher Park in honor of our police, firefighters, first responders, servicemen and women of all kinds.

On Saturday July 11, the Annual Free Concert in the Park to Honor Our Hometown Heroes will be one way the community can say thanks.

The concert has been known to draw up to 10,000 people and in partnership with the United Way of Long Island, the Islip Arts Council will aid military families in need by donating a portion of the proceeds.

After the Philharmonic fills the air with music, the night will be capped off with a fireworks show by Grucci to end the night.
