Few things go better with a Nathan's hot dog than amusement parks and summer days. Located off the LIE in between exits 64 and 65, Boomers is one of the most entertaining amusement parks on the island for kids. With a standard 'day at the park' menu at Boomer's Cafe you could easy spend, and enjoy, the entire day here.
This is a one-stop-spot for just about every activity you can think of. Boomers has a video game/arcade room, mini golf, batting cages, go karts and bumper boats. For just $19.99 indulge in the “Champ Pass” and get unlimited access to all of the rides at the park, and unlimited mini-golf.
If you choose to pay-per-ride, Go-Karts will run you $7 per zip around the track, and drivers must be at least 4' 8”. Passengers however can be 3' tall but must be accompanied by a driver 18 and older.
The bumper boats are a fun alternative for the younger crowd, again at $7 per ride. The drivers of the bumper boat must be 3' 5” tall, or 3' in a double with a driver 18 or older. There are also designated 'kiddie' rides, at just $3 a ride, including a carousel and spinning tea-cups.
Open 7 days a week, Boomers is a great place to spend the day whipping around the go-kart course and indulging in some delicious summer treats like cotton candy and ice cream.
Boomers in Medford is located at 655 Long Island Avenue, and is open Monday-Thursday from 12-7pm, Friday12-9pm, Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 11am-8pm.
