Quite Possibly the Best French Fries on Long Island

You find yourself at a crossroad: you want French fries really bad, like more than usual. But the diner is too crowded and McDonald's just makes you feel guilty.

A non-chain alternative that will certainly not skimp on flavor (or calories, let’s be honest) and will more than satisfy your French fry cravings, European Republic is an unassuming gem in the heart of Huntington Village. Though the restaurant itself is small, it’s impossible to miss the standing French Fry Man taking up residence on the sidewalk out front—the perfect advertisement for what lies within.

The menu is vast and ranges from a simple salad to soups, pasta dishes, burgers and wraps. Special combo deals allow for different meal combinations that never leave out the staple component: French fries. If you're coming here solely for the main event, fries can be ordered in three different sizes: regular, large and triple size. The French fries at Euro demand more than just the usual condiment selection. There are 21 different sauces to choose from, each one better than the last. Your first choice comes free with your order, and each additional sauce comes at 35 cents per flavor.

Reservations are not required, but it’s important to know the space fills up fast, especially before a concert at the Paramount. If you're trying to make this a quick lunch time spot, calling in your order is strongly advised. European Republic is open 7 days a week (open late Friday & Saturday until 11pm).
