Get your green on and get ready to celebrate St. Patrick's Day on the North Fork of Long Island.
The 56th Annual Miller Place/Rocky Point St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Sunday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. The parade will start on Route 25A and Harrison Avenue in Miller Place and run down 25A to Prince Road in Rocky Point. This year, Father Richard of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church will server as the Grand Marshal.
The 2nd Annual St. James St. Patrick's Day parade will take place on Saturday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m. the parade will start at Washington Avenue and Main Road in Jamesport and run down Main Road to the Jamesport Fire Department. This year, The Honorable Allen Smith, town justice will serve as the Grand Marshal.
The Custer Institute Observatory, located at 1115 Main Bayview Road in Southold, will hold a St. Patrick's Day Dinner on March 14 from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. The event includes a home-cooked Irish feast prepared by Chef Chuck O'Cardona. Tickets are $25 for non-members; $20 for members; $10 for students and $5 for children.
On March 7 from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. the March of the Leprechauns will hold a St. Paddy's Day themed pub crawl. The event, which is sponsored by the Suffolk Theater, will benefit the Jamesport St. Patrick's Day Parade and Maureen's Haven. Braceletes are $10 and can be picked up at the Suffolk Theater.
