Treme In Islip Is Our Pick For Great Music This New Year's Eve

For those wise enough to avoid NYC on New Year’s Eve, our NYE pick stays local, mellow and kind, with a bluesy feel to it. Jack’s Waterfall takes the stage at Treme in Islip. Led by Jack Licitra, who has played with and opened for the likes of Levon Helm and Richie Havens, and was also the founder of the Waterstreet Blues Band (who remembers every Monday at the Village Pub?), will perform with a special lineup, starting at 9 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.  And if you’ve never had the pleasure of a visit to Treme, this will be a perfect opportunity. As cool as a music joint can be and always featuring the best tunes in jazz, blues, rock and reggae, and everything in between, it’s a nice NYE alternative to the whole Times Square thing. Admission is $25 with open bar options at the price points of $75 and $100.
