5 Hamptons Events to Attend This Weekend

If you are looking for something special to do this weekend with friends and family, here are five must-attend events across the East End, from a Seafood Festival to a Classic Car Rally. So, grab your calendar and start making plans. 

Battle of the Bands

On Friday, September 12, the Town of Southampton will hold its 12th annual Battle of The Bands at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays. The event, which features teenage bands, will run from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 each.

Harborfest

On Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14, Sag Harbor will hold its annual Maritime Celebration, called Harborfest. The event, which starts at 9:00 a.m. each day, features whale boat races, food vendors, chowder and clam shucking contests, exhibits, a rock climbing wall, a bouncy castle and a dunking tank. 

Seafood Festival

Also on Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14, the Montauk Friends of Erin and the Kiwanis Club of East Hampton will host the second annual Montauk Seafood Festival. The event will be held from noon to 5 on each day at the Marine Basin at 426-444 West Lake Drive in Montauk. Tickets to the event, which will feature food, drinks and family entertainment, are free. 

Classic Car Rally

Alternatives for Children are holding their 18th annual Classic and Sports Car Rally at 1116 Main Road in Aquebogue on Saturday, September 13. The event, which starts at 9:15 a.m., features an awards ceremony and a lunch reception at the Water's Edge in East Moriches. Tickets are $135. 

Fall Craft Show

The Hallockville Museum Farm, located at 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead is hosting its 43rd annual Fall Festival and Craft Show on Saturday and Sunday, September 13 and 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. The event features over 50 artisan and craft vendors, demonstrations and more. Tickets are $8 adults and $5 for children ages 5-12. Children under 4 are free.
