4 Hamptons Summer Campgrounds to Explore

If you are looking for a little adventure this summer, you may want to try sleeping under the starts at one of the Hampton's beautiful campgrounds, many of which overlook the waterfront. So, grab a tent, sleeping bags and a BBQ and make a reservation at once of these campgrounds.

Cedar Point

Cedar Point Campground, located at 5 Cedar Point Road in East Hampton, is a 607-acre campground with beautiful views of Gardiners Bay. Aside from offering plenty of campsites, the campground also has rowboat rentals, bicycling, scuba diving, hunting, hiking, saltwater fishing, a playgrounds and picnic grounds. Hither Hills State Park

Situated on Old Montauk Highway in Montauk, Hither Hills State Park is a perfect spot to pitch a tent for a night or two. Aside from offering campsites, the park features nightly entertainment, a 40-acre freshwater lake to fish in, and a playground. To make a reservation, call 1-800-CAMP

Sears Bellows County Park

Sears Bellows County Park, located in Hampton Bays, is a perfect location for a weekend, outdoor adventure. The park features freshwater fishing, hiking and a small lake with sand play for the children. There is also a playground and picnic tables. To make a reservation, call (631) 244-7275.

Cupsogue Beach County Park

If you own or decide to rent an RV, you can spend a few nights out on the beach at Cupsogue Beach County Park, located at the end of Dune Road in Westhampton. Camping is permitted with an RV only on the outer beach. To make a reservation, call (631) 852-8111.
