The 4th of July is just two weeks away and it's time to start nailing down plans and decide which fireworks show you should go to see this Independence Day. This year, across the East End, there are three big shows that will light up the night sky with bursts of color that will be sure to delight. Each of the shows are known across the East End as pyrotechnic masterpieces so no matter which show you choose, you will walk away satisfied. Just remember to be sure to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot and to make the experience all the better, pack comfortable chairs and even a few snacks and drinks.
Each year, The Westhampton Country Club puts on a free fireworks display that can be viewed from just about anywhere along Main Street in Westhampton Beach. The best viewing, however, is from the Great Lawn, located at the end of Main Street. The show starts at 9:00 p.m.
Fireworks will explode over Montauk as the Montauk Chamber of Commerce presents its 4th annual Starts Over Montauk Fireworks show. Official viewing is at Umbrella Beach, but the display of color can be seen from any beach in the area. The show starts at 9:00 p.m. Rain Date is July 5.
At 9:00 p.m., the Riverhead Business improvement District will light off the fireworks of the evening at Grangebel Park, which over looks the Peconic. There are picnic tables along the viewing area, but unless you arrive early to secure one, you will want to bring a chair or picnic blanket.
