This amazing 2D Ruben's Tube reacts to sound waves to produce an awesome 3D display of fire.

The creators of this interesting piece of technology use it to illustrate principles of physics at schools (and make awesome YouTube videos). I love seeing creative and interesting ways to hopefully inspire young children to dive deeper into the amazing worlds of science and technology.
