3 Ways to Help Those in Need

The holiday season is quickly approching and what better time to help someone in need? Already in the Hamptons and on the North Fork, organizations are gearing up for their holiday fundraisers and drives. Below, find three that you can help now. 

Thanksgiving Card Drive

The Retreat, located at 13 Goodfriend Drive in East Hampton, is now collecting gift cards to help families in need have a wonderful Thanksgiving. The Retreat will provide the cards to families that are in need so they can show on their own to have the Thanksgiving that they can enjoy. All gift cards should be sent by November 17 to 13 Goodfriend Drive, East Hampton 11937. For more information, call (631) 329-4398.

Clothing Drive

The Jewish Center of the Hamptons, located at 44 Woods Lane in East Hampton is now collecing clothing for Maureen's Haven, which provides shelter to the East End's homeless during the winter months. The Jewish Center is asking for gently worn winter clothing, including coats, pans, lightly worn boots, tops, hats, gloves and scarves. New packages items are also needed, including underwear, socks, bras, and women's panties. All sizes are welcome. Items can be dropped off at the Jewish Center, November 10 through November 15. Goods Needed

The Human Resources of the Hamptons is always in needs of goods, including non-perishable food items, clothing, including warm coatsh and hats, infant items, including diapers, formula, baby food and bottles, as well as children's items, including toys, books, srollers, and car seats. Items can be dropped off at 168 Hill Street in Southampton.
