How to Open a Bottle of Wine Without a Corkscrew

No, this isn't the old "push the cork into the wine" trick you figured out in college, this one actually gets the cork OUT of the bottle. Just make sure you have a big enough sole on the shoe so you don't smash the bottle and that you're using a surface you can't easily put a hole in!

Now if only there were a good way to open a beer without a bottle opener that didn't involve breaking a tooth, killing your finger with the old pry-it-off-with-anything-available trick, or scraping a bottle-cap sized piece of paint or wood off your coffee table (or any other 90-degree edge you can find), we'd be all set.

If you want a real thrill (and you happen to have a very large sword available), maybe you should try sabrage; the art of removing the top of the bottle with a sabre!
