A vacation at “The End,” as Montauk is known, will bring days filled with fishing, horseback riding, music, beach picnics, and hiking. Area accommodations, from luxury hotels to family motels, are all in close proximity to everything Montauk has to offer.

In Montauk Village, there are several options, including the 27-unit, A Wave Inn, which is a newly renovated resort, featuring suites with kitchens and a pool. There is also the 97-unit Atlantic Terrace, which has a pool, kitchenettes, and a café, or the 17-room Oceanside Beach Resort, which boasts ocean views, full kitchens, a pool, and private balconies.

Near Montauk Harbor is the 27-room Harborside, which features a pool, tennis court and kitchenettes. There is also the 107-room Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina, boasting 23 private villas, two restaurants, charter fishing, tennis courts, a full service spa, concierge, and a complementary local shuttle.

Over at Fort Pond and Fort Pond Bay is the 140-unit Montauk Manor Resort, which has an on premises restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, and kitchens. Sole’ East is another option in the area as a newly renovated 6-room hotel offering a docking station, pool, restaurant, and gardens.

Hit It Up Style in East Hampton

With miles of beaches, a stylish village, and happening nightlife, East Hampton is a great place to spend a week or a weekend. There are a number of accommodations to suit any needs, from a romantic getaway, to a fun family weekend.

If you are looking for a bed and breakfast, there are a number to choose from, each offering a unique experience. The historic Bassett House Inn, founded in 1977, has 12 rooms, free WiFi, and allows pets. Blakes Lodging, a farmhouse that was built in 1810, has three rooms, and is five minutes from the center of town and a mile from East Hampton’s ocean beaches.

For a resort vacation, the 52-room East Hampton House Resort, offers an outdoor heated pool, tennis courts, a children’s play area and kiddie pool, a BBQ area, free WiFi, and beach passes for parking at all village beaches.

East Hampton also has rustic accommodations. One popular spot is the Cedar Point County Park and Lighthouse. The park features 190 campsites, a general store, volleyball and basketball courts, as well as a grass baseball field.

Historic Southampton Village

Settled in 1640, the Village of Southampton offers history, village shopping, seven miles of beaches, and the Parish Art Museum.

With that, the area has a number of historical bed and breakfasts to rest your head, including A Butler’s Manor, which dates back to 1860. This five-room B&B provides pick-up from the Jitney, a swimming pool, coffee maker in each room, and breakfast. Also in Southampton is the 12-room 1708 House, which is just minutes from Atlantic Ocean Beaches, shopping, sailing, and golfing. It features a wine cellar, computer lounge, parlor, and breakfast in the dining room.

For an upscale vacation, the Southampton Inn, located in the heart of Southampton Village, offers 90 rooms, a heated outdoor pool, tennis, croquet, a game room, decorated children’s play area, and an in-house restaurant, called Oso.
