The story of The Hampton Maid began in 1959 when John and Marion Poulakis took a drive to the East End of Long Island and fell in love with this charming spot just east of the Shinnecock canal. They began building a heritage. Today, three generations later, Steven and his wife Sharon continue the family affair along with their children and extended family members. "We are a big, friendly group, all working together." Sharon shares.

Picturesque, unique, and breathtaking are words often used to describe this Hampton Bays retreat that overlooks the canal. Twenty-nine distinctively designed rooms offer a variety of décor, exceptionally lush comfort, and either a porch, deck, or balcony with amazing views. But this treasure is more than lodging alone.

The Hampton Maid is famous for hosting one of the best country-style breakfasts in the Hamptons. Folks come from all over to experience the delicious fare here, which is available daily. The eatery's menu boasts generous portions of home cooked favorites such as omelets, french toast, and pancakes. Guests even have the added treat of strolling through an extraordinary gift shop with a hip, boutique flair amongst beachside items. Visitors cannot resist the colorful store while they wait to be seated. Plus, the shop is conveniently open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

This particular destination in Shinnecock Hills is one worth visiting for breakfast or brunch, a quiet getaway from the everyday bustle, or both!

The Hampton Maid is located at 259 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays. Call (631) 728-4166 for more information or visit hamptonmaid.com.
